Nitric Oxide Side Effects
Nitric oxide has become very popular supplement, but before you start using it, make sure to get the info on nitric oxide side effects. Bodybuilders often use this dietary supplement in order to increase muscle blood flow.
Nitric Oxide Side Effects
Nitric oxide usually produces several changes, like considerable gain in muscle mass, quicker recovery and strength increase. That happens because body arteries get wider, blood flow increases which results in providing more oxygen and nutrients to body muscles.
In that way muscles become firmer and stronger. But in despite of all the positive sides of nitric oxide, you should get to know the side effects, too. Some of the most common side effects when using NO are nausea and mild headaches to migraines. Some bodybuilders have felt weakness as well as diarrhea issues.
There were even collapse cases after starting consuming nitric oxide. Some of the common side effects are sudden changes in heart beat, dry mouth and irritation of skin. Sometimes the body can keep certain supplies of water that are not actually needed. Nitric oxide side effects can be real dangerous if Nitric oxide is taken in large amounts. That can lead to breathing problems, vomiting, itching, possible asthma etc. The worst thing about collapse is that you never know when and where it will happen. You can simply collapse and fall from height, so it can turn fatal. Keep in mind that these side effects can be quite unpredictable. A collapse can happen anytime and anywhere.
Those can be followed by an increased sweating right after taking this dietary supplement. You should be aware that there could be serious health problems. In some cases, there can be sudden blood pressure changes and it can result in death (due to extremely low blood pressure). Most people believe that high blood pressure is more dangerous than low blood pressure. This is wrong. High blood pressure, also known as hypertension, can cause severe damage to the cardiovascular system, and it can lead to death, but low blood pressure is equally dangerous. This is called “hypotension”. It can result in death, as well. Some people naturally have lower blood pressure (than normal), so if you belong to this group, you should not use nitric oxide or any other similar supplement.
According to some studies, 13% of bodybuilders using nitric oxide have had hypotension. Also pay attention to any symptom of hyperglycemia. Even after getting to know these nitric oxide side effects, don’t be afraid to ask for an expert opinion if you have any of the symptoms mentioned above. Athletes often believe that “it won’t happen to them”, mostly because they are aware of the fact that they are in good shape. However, your body strength has nothing to do with this. Therefore, you should be very careful. It is not enough to talk to another athlete about this. Different people have different reactions, so you should definitely talk to your doctor. If you have ever had any health problems, make sure to consult your doctor about any supplement.

But what if you use minimal doses? I doubt there would be death and all that then.

I don’t think it would do anything to you if you use minimal dosage. But something one of my trainers told me is very important. Everyone is different. Some people can work out once and notice a difference and eat what ever they want and not be affected. Others can eat something once and get sick, so just because you take it doesn’t guarantee that will happen to you. Also there is a trade off. The more you take the more prominent it becomes. Take more protien; you will fart more, drink more water; you will pee more, so if you take minimal doses it might not make enough of a difference that you would spend how ever much money on force max.

I’ve been taking nitric oxide supplements and it does help with work outs or other physical activities but I have gotten some of those side effects… You just have to know how to take them.

With all supplement you should be carefull i have taken most out there… and some i had way to much of but as long as u start out with small doses and work your way up you will be ok. I have studied them all for a long time and to be honest, most of whats in them is already in your body (just not in high amounts). Most important thing is drink lots of water! eat healthy and get good rest.i have had just about every side effect there is even major heart problems and still have them. if u have these side effects from small doses stop taking the! just eat right. and go natural.

Anyone regret for using this nitric oxide?
November 10th, 2010
Yeah, I’m taking this stuff to help me with my soccer class, you’re supposed to start out with a small amount, and work your way up to the amount specified on the jar. I took 3 small scoops before my class (max amount) and i was doing great, the bad part is a few hours after wards my body just went numb, got a bit of nausea, but its not that bad.
If anyone takes this stuff, be very careful with it, never take a chance and put more, keep it at the amount it says you should take, if not lower.

i was taking nitric oxide to increase my muscle mass and was perfect the first i took it. second week: up-my doses and died
November 22nd, 2010
what do you mean you died? lol
January 21st, 2011
You died?
I remember seeing a National lawsuit commercial about a drug that said, “If you experienced stroke or death you can join this national lawsuit”.
Hmm, seems like I saw a movie like that where zombies were over taking a town, are you a zombie? If so then you should drag your decaying ass down to the lawyers office and sign up for a lawsuit.

na ah i died too !!!
December 14th, 2010
i want to try it .. but i dont want to die…
December 15th, 2010
DIED! lol
I don’t want to die either
I think a logical/sensible approach to any supplement etc is the best way to go.
There are plenty of foods and beverages we eat regularly that we try not to exceed as we know we will feel ill or wired (eg. coffee) that the medical world would call “side effects”

I have diabetes, type 1, anyone know if there are bad side effects that will be bad for me
July 22nd, 2011
Yeah let’s ask a bunch of web-posters (half of which are semi-literate meatheads) for medical advice about how OTC drugs affect an autoimmune disease like diabetes. Perhaps if you have a badly torn rotator cuff one of them can come over and do surgery to repair that too. Anecdotal information is great, but some of you guys need to stop relying on posted comments for straight-on medical advice.

I have taken Nitric Oxide supplements on and off for the last 3-5 years and have had no problems.. As long as you are healthy, eat well, and know your facts you have nothing to worry about.
Most extreme supplements will tell you to cycle on and off each month to allow your body time to recover and drop its no2 levels.
What has NO done for me? Allowed me to go much harder both working out at home and in the gym, makes me feel really PUMPED and energetic putting me in the right frame of mind before a serious workout!
With all the crap out there that people do (alcohol, tobacco, steroids) I think NO2 is pretty safe but hey to each their own!
December 28th, 2010
I have been using NO2 for about 3 months now and the one side effect I have experienced is an over stimulation that makes it difficult for me to sleep. Has anyone else experienced this effect and if so what do or can one do to deal with this?
January 4th, 2011
Same issues with me. Took Force Factor NO on and off. The stuff works but I am well into my 50′s and sometimes it made me a little too edgy, over stimulation if you will. Hard to sleep some nights.
Great replacement for Viagra as well. Just feel better overall not being on it. A couple MD’s told me at my age to be careful with it. I guess if you have a clot somewhere it could break it free which could be deadly. They were really surprised you can buy it over the counter.

would you recommend it to guys over 40?
December 30th, 2010
Do NOT take nitric oxide supplements such as Force Factor or Force Max. They can cause all the side effects mentioned above plus worse ones. For example, Nitric oxide can trigger tumorous cells in your brain, may cancer, brain tumors. just a friendly warning. Just take Whey, and work out a LOT!. NO PAIN, NO GAIN!

Cp3 you are on crack go read about L-arginine on dr Oz’s website. Force factor is safe to use “IF” you are a healthy person…I have a question for you…are u taking prescription meds? do U have i blood pressure or a family risk of heart problems…then talk to a dr about “anything” u take. force factor contains no caffeine, no creatine. And while everyone’s body is different it DOES NOT make u retain water. It can however make u Dehydrated if you do not maintain and watch you hydration… A supplement is exactly that, a Supplement to an already healthy diet, and work out… Cancer turmors, what where are u getting your information…. And check your cheep way protein u get at walmart..i bet L-arginine is in there go get your self checked for a tumor

Errr, responding to the first comment made by “Ryan”, it is certainly not HYPERtension, it is hypotension. Nitric Oxide is given to patients with high blood pressure to lower blood pressure. Though obviously what is given to medical patients is in a different form, it has a similar effect. Most of the symptoms reported are associated with low blood pressure. Not surprising. While taking the supplement it is important to 1, start out on a small dosage and increase over time, and 2, closely monitor blood pressure. As with all supplements, always read the instructions and cycle if suggested.

NO is bs. You wanna get big? Run 50mgs dbol ed, 250mg test c e3d, 500iu hcg e3d, anastrozole .5mg-1mg depending on how bloated you wanna look for 12 weeks. After the 12 weeks quit all the above and run nolva 40/40/20/20.
If you REALLY wanna look like the guys in the supplement mags that the corporations fool you into believing have never touched steroids in their lives, buy some whey, glutamine, a multi vit, and refer to paragraph above.
February 11th, 2011
hey “THE BIG GUY”… YOU SAID “N.O” is “bs”. Run 50mgs dbol ed, 250mg test c e3d, 500iu hcg e3d, anastrozole .5mg-1mg depending on how bloated you wanna look for 12 weeks….BLOATED WHO WANTS TO LOOK BLOATED….bloated means ur retaining water and with that You would have to cycle off if that product or u may do damage to your liver/kidneys…What is all that stuff, sounds like a product that will shrink your penis…While L-arginine can actually help u maintain an erection….how is that healthier than an NO Supplement…If you take Force Factor Start with 1 pill 2 times daily then work up to 2 capsules daily…NO is safe…sorry to hear dlogan u crapped urself always try 1/2 the dose on bottle 1st time to make sure will not upset ur stomach…god luck next time… Anything U take go all natural as possible and do your own research or ask a heath care professional u trust…DR’s Are Business men too…all they do is read medical journals and prescribe the meds they have contracts for…Some Dr’s are just as worthless as the teenage kid behind the GNC counter and EVERY ONE is trying to sell you stuff you don’t need so some information is actually just an advertisement…

I think NO is pretty useful in getting focused etc but you just have to make sure you actually have the time to workout hard enough not for it to give u most of those side effects. like feeling jittery and unable to sleep wont happen if you do heavy full body circuits.

I’ve been taking N.O. supps for over a year now. I minimize the intake now. In the beginning I dosed too much about an hour before working out one time and shit in my pants on the Smith Machine, swear to God. I had my headphones on and couldn’t hear anything but the look on the 2 dudes faces that were standing to the side of me was freeakin classic. I know it was loud, little did they know it was much more than a fart my friend. ENJOY!!

I simply take L-arginine supplements (which is essentially all NO supplements are). I have been taking these supplements for years, and I have never had any of these side effects.
My suggestion: don’t take the full recommended dose. I have always taken 1/2 to 2/3 of the recommended dose and have enjoyed the benefits without any of the side effects. NO is produced naturally in the body and you should only use supplements if you are spending that extra bit of energy.
That being said, I both run and “work out” 5 days a week. I use a lot of my body’s resources so these supplements are a necessary evil at times. Just eat right, stay hydrated, and get plenty of rest. Lastly, if you are going to take these supplements, you need to do more than just spend an hour or so at the gym doing bench press and beach-muscle workouts.

you people are whacked! stop and read the full string of messages….

I am more concenred about they body getting used to the NO after years of use. I have heard that your vessels get used to the NO and decrease the normal body produciton and that after some time the effects wear off. Older pt who take NO tabs for heart problems get tolenrance after prolonged use. What will we do later in life when we need it for ourselves for heart problems? nothin will help then? i dont know, anybody have any info?
